• How do I try to remove stubborn stains from the BEALSTONE® coating?

When stubborn stains appear on a surface—particularly on BEALSTONE® flooring—you can use a capillary suction method.

After first attempting to clean the stain with a soft brush and soapy water, proceed as follows:

    • Moisten the stain with lukewarm water for at least 10 minutes.
    • Remove the water from the surface.
    • Re-moisten the affected area.
    • Apply several sheets of paper towels, one on top of the other, laying them flat over the stain and extending about 10 cm beyond it on all sides. Depending on the situation, 10 to 20 sheets may be needed.
    • Moisten all layers of paper and remove any air to ensure perfect contact between the sheets and the surface.
    • Allow to dry naturally, without interference and without creating a draft.
    • As the surface dries, the pores of the paper open; the capillaries then generate suction that draws the dirt out of the surface and transfers it into the paper towels.
    • Remove the sheets once they are completely dry.
    • Inspect the result.
    • Repeat the process if necessary.

Caution: if the stain originates from a small open cavity in the BEALSTONE® mineral material and the protective coating has not penetrated this cavity, the effectiveness of the process will be limited. The suction will focus solely on this localized area and not on the entire stain.

The process can nevertheless be repeated if necessary.
