The Concrete Table Co.® and Barbara Cox unveil a limited edition of colorful design artworks
Two Belgian designers recently caused a sensation by teaming up for a collaboration that transcends the boundaries between furniture and art.

Barbara Cox, a painter known for her abstract, colorful and sparkling universe, has joined forces with designer Jonathan Macarez, a specialist in bespoke furniture made with the MORTEX® mineral coating, to imagine together two creations that combine functional design and artistic expression.
A 100% Belgian creation combining design and art
This unique partnership explores the infinite possibilities of materials and aesthetics, combining the strength and finesse of MORTEX® micro-mortar with the poetic, dreamlike world of Barbara Cox. The result of this collaboration is two creations:
The Dreamlike Console: Inspired by the iconic lines of tables made by The Concrete Table Co. this console captures the essence of minimalist design while incorporating Barbara Cox’s artistic sensibility.
The Enchanted Cloud: This mural evokes the delicacy of Barbara Cox’s paintings, while reinterpreting MORTEX® coating as a modern canvas.

MORTEX® coating, a material for creativity
Jonathan Macarez is no novice! Specializing in the manufacture of wooden furniture covered with MORTEX® waxed concrete-type coating, the founder of The Concrete Table Co. has been reinventing design codes for 14 years.
Each of his creations is designed as a unique piece and handcrafted in his Belgian workshop. Tables, benches, consoles and other decorative objects designed by The Concrete Table Co. can also be customized.
Thanks to its ultra-fine texture and infinite coloring possibilities, the MORTEX® solution enables Jonathan Macarez to create custom-made pieces with unique finishes (matte or glossy, textured or smooth effects, etc.) to meet his customers’ needs.
Resistant to water, scratches and daily wear and tear, MORTEX® mineral coating also guarantees durability: each table preserves its beauty and functionality over the years.
Thanks to its unique texture and depth to any work, MORTEX® coating is the ideal framework to unleash creativity. Whether it’s minimalist and functional, artistic… or both, as seen here!
An inspiring collaboration
This collaboration is the meeting of two worlds, raw material and vibrant color. Using Jonathan Macarez’s MORTEX® micro-mortar furniture as a modern and original backdrop for his luminous pop works, Barbara Cox offers a collection that will enchant any interior.
